• Feeling unwell with a fever, cough, runny nose or other symptoms which could be due to COVID-19.

• within 7 days of testing positive to COVID-19 or continue to have symptoms after a positive test

•  Self-isolating.

• A close contact of someone with COVID-19.

• In quarantine.

• Experiencing a severe medical emergency.

If you’re experiencing a severe medical emergency or severe COVID-19 symptoms, please call  000  immediately and advise the operator if you’re in self-isolation because of COVID-19.

Please be aware that you will be required to wear a mask when attending our centre to protect those at particular risk of COVID-19.

Dr Layla Yasmeen graduated from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 1990. She spent the next 10 years working in surgery in Bangladesh and became a specialist Paediatric surgeon in 2001. She has started working in Australia since 2005 at Hornsby Hospital. She has worked at the Westmead Children's Hospital as well as at Westmead hospital as an emergency trainee and is currently working as a part time advanced trainee and senior registrar in Lidcombe Bankstown Emergency department. Layla has joined the Wentworthville Medical & Dental Centre in 2017 and her particular interests include aged care, paediatrics and women's health. Layla also has an interest in the area of medical education and enjoys teaching medical students.
